In yoga and other spiritual traditions, "sangha" refers to a community of individuals sharing a common spiritual path or practice. It's a group that provides support, encouragement, and a sense of belonging for those on their spiritual journey.

Meaning: Sangha is a Sanskrit word meaning "association," "community," or "gathering".

Purpose: In yoga, a sangha can be a group of people who practice together, sharing insights, experiences, and support.

Benefits: Being part of a sangha can increase motivation, provide a sense of belonging, and foster a deeper understanding of the spiritual path.

Examples: A yoga sangha might be a group of students attending the same studio, or a community of practitioners who meet regularly for meditation and discussion.

Here is something to think about this month...is the sangha that you are part of one which is disability inclusive?  Does your studio encourage attendance from everyone in the community?  If 27% of the population identifies as a person who has one or more disability, is this reflected in your sangha?
